As part of the Easter festivities, 15 Pilots from Europe, Australia and Asia have arrived in Ghana for the paragliding activity at Kwahu in the Eastern Region.
It is estimated that over 5000 to 10,000 revellers including foreign nationals will converge at Odweanoma mountains for the paragliding activity.
Ultimate news’ Kojo Ansah Sasraku reports that 412 Police Officer including 112 from National Headquaters and 300 Police Personnel from Eastern Regional Police Command have been deployed to Kwahu area to maintain law and order.
Addressing Journalists on Thursday, the Deputy Eastern Regional Police Commander, ACP James Azuma Abass Abaah explained that the Anti- terrorism unit of the Ghana Police Service (GPS) has also deployed officers to the area.
He stated that the Police has activated its Joint Operations Center and hotlines to the public to communicate swiftly suspicious activities and characters for proactive actions.
ACP Abass cautioned that unlicensed motorbikes and DV plated vehicles have been banned from entering Kwahu as part of effort to curb crime.
