Kwahu will be safe - Police assures

The Police has assured the public that enough security personnel will be deployed to Kwahu in the Eastern region for the Easter festivities.

Every year, thousands of revelers across Ghana head to the mountainous areas of Kwahu and its environs to while off time throughout the festivities which lasts for close to a week.

This year, the Excellence in Broadcasting Network (EIB) made up of Starr 103.5FM, Kasapa 102.3FM, Live 91.9FM, GHOne TV, and Agoo FM has lined up several events to mark the occasion in Kwahu.

Speaking to GHOne TV Wednesday evening the Director of Public Affairs of the Ghana Police Service Superintendent Cephas Arthur said Intelligence officers have already been deployed to embark on reconnaissance ahead of the festivities.

He added that the Police has deployed enough men to maintain law and order and assured of an incident free Easter festivities.

Meanwhile, the Mpraeso District Police Commander, ASP Emmanuel Darkwa Owiredu, has disclosed that about 400 extra Police personnel will be deployed to Kwahu to maintain law and order during this year's Easter Festivities.
