One of Ghana’s finest radio personalities Kwame Sefa Kayi is coy over going into politics should politicians come knocking at his door.

Several radio personalities in Ghana have ended up in politics including Joy FM’s Kojo Oppong-Nkrumah, Abeiku Santana of the Despite Group of Companies, and Radio Gold’s Alhassan Suhuyini and Obuobia Darku-Opoku among others.

However, speaking on the Morning Starr as a co-host, Sefa Kayi said he cannot rule out politics, but wants to concentrate on his first love now – radio.

“I have never been offered one [political appointment],” the popular host of Kokrokoo on Peace FM said in a reply to a text message on Starr 103.5 FM on Monday.

“Will I accept one? When we get to the bridge, we’ll cross it.”

When Nii Arday Clegg - the main host of Morning Starr – pushed him to the wall as to whether ladies “try to get in his way”, the ‘Chairman General’ answered in the affirmative, but said he is more focused on his family and job.

“Nii Arday, I have done this job for almost 20 something years and you want to tell me I should put my hand to my heart and to say that nobody has disturbed me before? Oh, as Songo will say, ‘fire burn you.’ I have had my good times and bad times… you’ll get attention from the opposite sex,” Sefa Kayi confessed.
