Two of Ghana’s Premier League clubs are on continental assignment this afternoon.

Aduana Stars will be hoping to turnaround 1-nill defeat to Al Tahaddy in Egypt when they meet the Libyan club at the newly renovated Agyemang-Badu park in the CAF Champions League.

Kumasi Asante Kotoko having wasted three penalties in the first leg will have to punch above their weight to secure a favourable scoreline against CARA in Congo in the CAF Confederation Cup.

The build-up to both games has been dominated by negative news with Kotoko being attacked by supporters of CARA in Congo while Al Tahaddy initially threatened to boycott the match against Aduana.

Nonetheless, fans of both clubs are confident that their respective clubs will advance to the next of the competition.

Asante Kotoko goalkeeper Felix Annan is confident about their chances of beating CARA.

We are not afraid of them [CARA] in the second leg," Annan told Angel FM. "We have prepared very well ahead of the game and we'll need our fans' support and prayers to qualify. I don't believe in Juju [black magic].

The referee had all the penalties he awarded in first leg at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium right. As I earlier said, the fans should continue praying for us to make it to next round of the competition."

Aduana Stars CEO, Albert Commey insist club will kick out Al Tahaddy from CAF Champions League

We have a deficit of one goal and we have to cancel it at all cost. We are very confident, we know they are a good side, however, we are very focused and ready to take them out of the competition”, he added.
