The Gambian President, Adama Barrow is currently having talks with President Akufo-Addo at the Flagstaff House in Accra.
The Gambian leader is also in Ghana to thank President Akufo-Addo for the role he played in ensuring that democracy was restored in his country.
There had been heightened tensions in The Gambia, after long-time ruler Yahya Jammeh, rejected the results of their December 1, 2016 election, weeks after he had conceded defeat to the opposition leader, Adama Barrow.
