Today Friday, April 3, 2020, the Ministry of Information and other government agencies involved in the fight against the spread of coronavirus in Ghana brings to the public another press briefing to give updates on measures taken by the government in managing the spread of Coronavirus.
Issues to be addressed in today’s briefing include progress made on the care being given to those with confirmed cases and an update on the enhanced testing program announced last week in a similar brief. A psychologist’s advisory note is expected to be given to help persons under lockdown maintain a good state of mind in this time of restrictions.
Close to a month now the government of Ghana has been instituting various measures to manage confirmed cases of coronavirus in the country and its spread. Notable among these measures is the partial lockdown imposed on some parts of the country including Accra, Tema, Kumasi, and Kasoa.
Ghana as of yesterday had its total confirmed case count of COVID-19 standing at 204. The number includes 3 recoveries, 5 deaths and a good number of people reported to be responding well to treatment.
The Information Ministry over the period has been bringing Ghanaians up to speed with Ghana’s situation and progress in fighting the virus through its press briefings.
