President Akufo-Addo following the brouhaha surrounding his “elephant sized” government finally spoke Friday March 17 on Ghana’s national television to explain the rationale behind the numbers.
Many irate Ghanaians took to social media to express their discontent after the announcement by Information Minister Mustapha Hamid Thursday with many accusing the President of wanting to loot the public coffers through the appointment of 110 ministers.
In his defense, President Akufo-Addo maintained that each of these ministers have declared their assets as a way of protecting public purse, adding that the large number is essential for fixing the dire economic challenges the country finds itself in.
