As workers worldwide celebrate the International Workers Day otherwise known as "May Day" today, Ghanaian trade unions and labour associations across the country mark the day with a parade.
Workers nationwide will represent their institutions in T-shirts and banners at the various parade grounds in all 10 regions of the country for a march pass.
President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo is expected to be the Special Guest of Honour at this year’s National May Day Parade together with Vice President Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia.
The celebrations themed: “Ghana @60: Mobilising for Ghana’s future through the creation of decent jobs” will be held at the Independence Square in Accra. Other regions will hold their parades at various grounds to mark the day.
