LET MY VOTE COUNT ALLIANCE PRESENTS PUBLIC FORUM ON ELECTION 2016
The Let My Vote Count Alliance (LMVCA) will host a public forum on the theme “Ensuring Credible Elections; The Role of the Electorate” on Wednesday, October 5, 2016, at 2:00 pm at GNAT Hall, Ho.
LMVCA is a civil society group committed to the consolidation of democracy and preserving the integrity of the electoral process in Ghana. This forum is part of a series of nationwide events to be hosted by LMVCA to bring together a cross-section of stakeholders to discuss the role of the electorate in ensuring credible elections before, during and after the elections.
Historically, the responsibility of ensuring credible elections has been centred largely on the Electoral Commission and agents of the various political parties. However, Let My Vote Count Alliance believes that Ghanaians have a collective responsibility to ensure credible elections to protect the integrity of our democracy.
The forum will include presentations and a panel discussion by distinguished speakers on the electoral process and the various roles that the electorate can play to ensure credible elections.
Moderator: Mr. Paul Adom Otchere
