A Ghanaian Twitter user, Blue Underwood has recounted how she managed to save herself from some kidnappers who were in a commercial bus she joined on her way to the Kwame Nkrumah Circle in Accra.
The young lady took to her Twitter account and gave a blow-by-blow account of how her life was almost put in danger as she found herself at the mercy of alleged kidnappers in a ‘trotro’.
According to her, she joined the Circle-bound commercial bus at Manet junction. She said the occupants of the car were the driver, his conductor and four other men who ‘acted’ as passengers.
She added that she was on her phone for a while but noticed something was off about the whole trotro because the driver’s conductor, popularly known as ‘mate’ was not calling for passengers after she boarded the bus.
Blue Underwood also said she got more scared when the driver took a wrong route and did not budge to her requests of wanting to alight.
She admitted that she freaked out after properly checking out the passengers who were in the car with her.
One of the occupants of the trotro who posed as a passenger, according to the young lady, was reciting some incantations.
She further narrated, the driver of the bus was wearing dark sunglasses and the mate also refused to let her alight.
Sensing danger, she immediately jumped out of one of the windows of the trotro to save herself.
Her brave act caused her a few bruises and some waist pain but she said she trusted her instincts about the impending harm that could come to her if she continued her journey.
The fear-stricken young lady went on to admonish young people, especially ladies, to be very careful when boarding commercial buses in the night.
