Mr Emmanuel Addae, Project Manager of Quality Role Ghana on Monday said leadership is more than mere management which creates an ongoing culture of coaching within an organization.
He said leaders should be seen as seeking to encourage people at all levels to make decisions which would add value to customers and the businesses alike.
Mr Addae was speaking ahead of the “Business Bite Training and Skills Development Conference 2013 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia” in Accra.
The theme for this year’s event is “Developing Global Leaders through Quality Management Practice and System Thinking”.
He said leaders needed to have knowledge, interpersonal skills and provide solid foundations for the culture they wish to see within the organization.
“This year Quality Leadership will focus on behaviours which create added value to business Executives,” he said.
He said in the face of rapid change in the external environments of organizations, success ultimately comes to an organisation when it is able to manage its resources effectively.
The Project Manager noted that participants would learn and share the proven techniques that nurture and inspire those who have led successful organizations.
