Let’s exchange you for our Uganda president - Student to Akufo-Addo

A student of Harvard University from Uganda stole the show when his school hosted Ghana president Nana Addo Danquah Akufo-Addo.

Innocent Taylor showered praises on the West African leader and said he admires him so much to the extent that he wished he can replace Ugandan president Yoweri Museveni due to his performance.

Obviously awed by the Ghanaian leader’s presentation on Pan-Africanism, the student set off thus: “Thank you so much Nana for that wonderful Pan-African speech. I’m very sure beyond doubt, our great ancestors Kwame Nkrumah, Nelson Mandela are very positive about what you talked about.”

Then he dropped the bombshell.

“I wish we could exchange you for our Ugandan president. He’s a dictator – Yoweri Museveni – he has been in power for 33 years and we are telling him enough is enough,” Taylor, who is doing his Masters in International Relations said to a visibly uneasy Akufo-Addo.

Could this give credence to the popular saying: “A prophet is not respected in his own hometown.”
