Let's put detractors to shame-VR Cadres tell delegates

Ho, July 6, GNA - The Volta Regional United Cadres Front (UCF) of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has called on delegates to the Party's upcoming National Delegates Congress in Sunyani to behave responsibly and shame detractors of the party.

"If we are able to adhere to our rights and responsibilities in relation to all others and remain united, we shall be putting to shame all those who are secretly praying for the demise of the NDC after the Congress".

This was contained in a statement signed by Mr Samuel Adablah, Volta Regional Secretary of UCF.

The Front appealed to Party members to be 93level-headed", eschew emotions and above all accept the results in good faith.

"Whether President Mills or Nana Konadu wins, history will be made", the statement said.

The Front expressed the hope that the NDC would emerge from the Congress more united and poised to win the 2012 elections.

It said it was natural for people to be anxious about the Congress considering the fact that it is the first time in the history of Ghana that a sitting President is being challenged from his own party.

The Cadres said they believed that the two aspirants had good intentions for the NDC and therefore urged them to use words that would make delegates see themselves as a family.
