Reverend Father Anthony Eiwuley of the Saint Nicholas Anglican Church, Community 19,Tema ,on Sunday said Easter presents an opportunity for the renewal of faith in Christ.
We should not give up as we witness personal and societal problems. We should resurrect our faith in Christ as he resurrects from death to complete the mission and story of our redemption.”
Rev Father Eiwuley was preaching the Easter Sunday sermon at Saint Nicolas Anglican Church at Community 19, Tema.
He said the difference between the Christian and the unbeliever is that, although they all witness the rough and tumble of life, the Christian’s hope in Christ grants him or her immunity from worrying and the ability to lead a meaningful and stress-free life.
Rev. Father Eiwuley said, faith is a crucial pillar of the Christian life hence the need to harness it always, adding, Jesus is alive and with faith he would lead us to victory.
He asked Christians not to hesitate in their asking and believing in God to give them their heart desires.
“For some of us, we see the empty tomb and do not see that it is really empty until we hang around it long enough to be told that it is empty.”
He called on Christians to always pray in faith and humility and also fellowship as these weapons are needed to survive the long tortuous journey of the follower of Christ.**
