Torgbe Nakakpo Dugbaza VIII, the Paramount Chief of Tefle Traditional area has asked Tongu communities to seek the face of God for an end to COVID-19.

He said God used many things to test the faith of human beings and that He could use different means to punish, making it prudent to seek the face of God for answers to COVID-19.

Torgbe Nakakpo in an interview with the Ghana News Agency said it would not be difficult for God to punish the world at any given time and judging by the countries the virus started spreading from, with their level of technology and inability to find a cure to the virus, indicated that God could do anything at any time.

He said disobeying authorities must be considered as a form of sin against God, adding that, until we turned to the basics of creation, and showed respect to God, our troubles could not be solved.

Torgbe Nakakpo said protocols given by the government to the public must be taken seriously, adding that, “it does not make sense to hide a relative that returns from any of the COVID-19 affected areas instead of subjecting them to the test as suggested by the authorities.”

He said the time for human beings to turn to God and plead on behalf of the country had come and must not be taken frivolously since there might be no second chance to do that.
