Let’s unite for development -OB Amoah urges constituents

The New Patriotic Party Member of Parliament for the
Aburi constituency in the Eastern Region, Osei Bonsu Amoah, has appealed to his
constituents to bury all their political differences and rally behind him, and
other stakeholders, to promote the development agenda of the constituency.
The appeal was contained in a message to thank
the constituents for the confidence reposed in him by re-electing him to represent
them in the nation’s Legislature for another four years.
Mr Amoah noted that while it was normal for
the election to create some kind of division among a section of the people, it
was important for them to put the election behind them, and forge ahead in
unity to promote their common interest.
“On my part, as the MP, I want to give the
assurance that I am prepared to welcome and work with all well-meaning people
in the constituency, seeking the interest of our people, to ensure development
in our respective communities,” he stated in the message.
Mr Amoah re-iterated his commitment towards implementing
interventions that would promote education in the constituency, stressing: “for
my second term in office, I am still going to remain committed to education, as
I had done in the past, for I believe education is the best means to liberate
the people from the clutches of poverty, destitution and deprivation of all
kinds.”
The MP particularly called on the chiefs, assembly
members and other development agents in the constituency to join hands with him
to think of innovative ways of tapping the human, material and natural
resources available to them to derive the maximum benefit for the people.
Mr Amoah commended the parliamentary candidates
of the other political parties that contested the election for putting up a
spirited fight for the seat, and in that regard, contributing to the
development of democratic competition in the constituency.
“I want to assure them that I am prepared to
work with all of them, and so they should place at my disposal all the good
plans they have for the development of our constituency. We all mean well for
the people and so there is the need for us to team up to offer the constituency
the best of leadership. I am prepared to play the role expected of me as the
MP, and so respectfully invite them to so same, for the sake of the common good
of the people,” he stated.
