Accra, Nov 27, GNA- Oblempon Nii Kojo Ababio the V, James Town Mantse on Friday added his voice to the call on Ghanaians to ensure peaceful elections on December seven.
Oblempon Ababio who made the call in a chat with newsmen at his residence in Accra advised Ghanaians not to create troubles for themselves on the day of election.
He reminded Ghanaians that as we nurtured our infant democracy, the whole world would be watching us to conduct our elections in a free, fair and peaceful manner.
The James Town Mantse who returned from a trip to the United States (US) for medical treatment, cited the polls in that country as a typical example, and said Ghanaians must emulate Americans.
He, therefore, urged the electorate to put the welfare of Ghana over and above their parochial interests, and vote in a peaceful manner to ensure violent-free atmosphere even after the elections.
Oblempon Ababio advised presidential and parliamentary aspirants to have the welfare of the electorate at heart, and deliver on their promises when voted into power.
He asked for God's guidance and protection for all Ghanaians to see the day of the election, and elect candidates of their choice to serve Ghana.
