Evangelist Irene Cobina Nartey, Evangelist at the Shukura Methodist Church at the Larterbiokorshie circuit has asked Christians to forgive one another as they celebrate the death of Jesus Christ on the cross.
She said the greatest love of God was portrayed in Christ through his death.
Jesus, she said did that so that mankind could be forgiven and to gain back what they had lost through sin.
Speaking to the congregation, Evangelist Nartey said as they were celebrating the death of Christ Jesus, Christians should confess their sins, leave their burdens to him on the cross and to forgive and love each other.
“The death of Jesus Christ is the procuring cause of all the blessing we enjoy on earth, especially the procuring cause of all the actual salvation.”
“When Jesus Christ said it is finished, He was trying to say all our sufferings have come to an end because of our sins. Our sins were forgiven on the cross”.
Evangelist Nartey advised Christians to be law abiding, God fearing, help each other in nation building and leave a decent life in the society so as to gain more blessing and favour from God.
Good Friday marks the day on which Christians around the world commemorate the death of Jesus Christ.
