Let us sustain party democracy, says NCCE official

New Edubiase (Ash), Sept 13, GNA - An official of the National Commission for Civic Education (NCCE) has called on Ghanaians not to compromise on acts that would endanger the multi-party democracy as well as the peace and stability.

Mr William K. Klutse, the acting District Director of NCCE for Adansi South, said, "there is the need for the nation to sustain the multi-party democracy and the peace in the communities".

Mr Klutse, who was speaking to the GNA in an interview at the weekend, appealed to political parties to advise their supporters to refrain from attacking personalities and to avoid inflammatory comments when campaigning.

"The NCCE expects political parties to be tolerant to facilitate peaceful election", he said.

"If a party is holding a rally in your community and that is not your party you should not go to the rally grounds to misbehave and create violence", he said.
