Lets pay economic tariffs for utilities

Accra, March 19, GNA- Alhaji Bawa Salifu, Deputy General Secretary of the Public Utility Workers' Union (PUWU) of the Trades Union Congress (TUC), has said that one way to ensure 24 hours continues service of Utility Services in the country is for the public to pay economic tariffs.

He said utility services such as Electricity and Water Companies were not getting so much to enable them to acquire the needed equipment to serve consumers.

Speaking to the Ghana News Agency an interview in Accra on Friday, Alhaji Salifu said the current intermittent light offs and water supply cuts were largely due to problems facing the companies providing such services.
