Living Grace Ministries’ champions prayer conference ends

The Annual Champions Prayer Conference of the Living Grace Ministries, has ended in Sunyani with a call on christians to lead lives worthy of emulation.

Closing the 4-day conference, which attracted close to 1,500 people from across the country, the Deputy General Overseer of the ministries, Rev. Lawrence Gyamfi, charged the congregation to put into practice all the topics treated during conference to ensure that they derive maximum benefit from the programme.

Rev. Gyamfi noted that the conference which was held on the theme, “The Power of Worship In Prayer”, must re-energize participants on the need to worship God faithfully.

He stressed that it is important for everyone to adequately worship God in prayer and urged the youth in particular to be serious about their prayer lives.

The Deputy General Overseer also expressed disgust at the recent upsurge of homosexuality and lesbianism in the country and called for great efforts at addressing the problem.

He appreciated calls by both the christian and moslem communities on authorities to check the phenomenon, but said more must be done.

Rev. Gyamfi noted that God has stated in the Bible that it is a sin for anyone to practice homosexuality and lesbianism and urged those engaged in the practice to desist from it to avoid the wrath of God.

The conference was hosted by the General Overseer of the ministries, Rev. Dr Richard Owusu Akyeaw with Rev. Thomas Yawson, the psalmist as the guest speaker.
