The police service is not laying its guard down in these times when their services are really needed. They will go all out to ensure that citizens adhere to the president’s lockdown order in areas where they apply.

Recalcitrant citizens are not being spared, and no chances are being taken. 5 days after the partial lockdown orders took effect and yet some stubborn citizens will still not stay home to avoid the spread of the Coronavirus.

During GhanaWeb’s tour to parts of the capital, particularly Madina to capture what’s happening on the ground, police officers, in teams were monitoring the streets and ensuring discipline.

Many persons were loitering around, some still hawking and others just, so to say, walking aimlessly about.

All non-essential persons spotted in the streets were warned by these officers and told to return to their residences.
