There is a clandestine move by some members of the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly (KMA) to cause mass transfer of some known faces at the Assembly employed during the regime of the erstwhile National Democratic Congress (NDC) government.

The move which mynewsgh.com understand is being championed by the Assembly man of Gyinase Electoral Area, Richard Kusi sought to cause about twelve civil servants including the KMA’s Public Relations Officer, Godwin Okuma Nyame to be transferred.

These assemblymen have also called for investigations into some contracts that were awarded during the previous regime under the watch of former KMA’s Boss, Michael Mensah Kojo Bonsu who resigned from office.

According to information available to mynewsgh.com’s reporter Kwabena Danso-Dapaah, the Gyinase Assembly man, one Kwaku Appiah, Odumasi and Kwame Akati, Krofrom believe some heads of departments at the assembly are long overdue for transfer s breeding corruption at the Assembly.

According to sources, most of the contracts lifespan have elapsed but still working under Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the KMA and the contractors.

The Assembly members are yet to petition the newly KMA Mayor, Osei Assibey Antwi to look into all contracts signed under the previous and abrogate them where necessary.

The Assembly members on radio interviews say they are committed to expose every corrupt activity perpetuated under the NDC threatening to name and shame some civil servants who were accomplices of the former Mayor.
