The Management of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) was not informed about the Old School reunion which some of their students participated in over the weekend.

According to the University’s management, organisers of the old school reunion Luv FM invited the students without recourse to them.

Some eight students of the university were arrested for rioting and damaging some vehicles.

Students of Katanga Hall and Unity Hall clashed thereby pelting stones at each other.

In a statement signed by the Acting Deputy Registrar Kwame Yeboah Jnr, it said, ‘We consider this act unfortunate and unacceptable and condemn the reprehensible behaviour of the students in no uncertain terms’.

It warned that students found culpable will be dealt with by the rules and regulations of the University.
