Motorists have been asked to giver consideration to school children and other categories of pedestrians at pedestrian crossing to reduce the number of accidents on the road.
The National Road Safety Committee who made the appeal noted that with the start of the new term for first cycle schools, the roads are bound to be crowded with school children particularly during the peak hours of the day. The Committee therefore urges motorist to always look out for school children and to give consideration to them. The committee also appealed to parents to teach their kids the basic tenets of road safety.
