Afram Plains South Member of Parliament, Joseph Appiah Boateng, has denied beating a young man to pulp over a young girl.
Some Newspapers, including the Chronicle, published on Tuesday that the MP, in his attempt to scare off a young man from a young girl he was also interested in having an affair with, beat up the boy mercilessly until he went into a coma.
The MP, however, denies any such incident and accuses his detractors of seeking to blackmail him with what he describes as a “cooked” story.
“…It’s not true; it’s a cooked story…They want to blackmail me”.
He says the young man in question has conspired with the young girl and some constituency executives of the main opposition New Patriotic Party, including the constituency women organiser, to tarnish his image.
The legislator claimed: “The guy wasn’t in a coma; he walked to the hospital saying that I’ve hit his head to the wall, and the medical assistant gave him some medication, and he was discharged the same night”.
