MP for Bole-Bamboi donates 200 bags of sugar to constituents

The Member of Parliament (MP) for the Bole-Bamboi Constituency of the Savannah Region, Alhaji Yusif Sulemana has donated 200 bags of 50 kilograms sugar to his constituents to support them to undertake this year's fasting.

At a brief ceremony on 3rd April, 2020 to outdoor the bags of sugar, the MP disclosed that the sugar was bought from the MP’s Common Fund and so he will not discriminate in the sharing of the sugar as he has always done over the years.

He said the sugar will not be shared on partisan lines and that he has always consulted stakeholders on the mode of sharing of the sugar.

He said the sugar would not be enough for everyone to get and that if anyone does not get it does not mean he or she is not important.

The MP for Bole-Bamboi further said the sugar will be shared Constituency wide and that they will target the needy. He said even before he became the MP for the area he has always shared sugar to the needy, poor and vulnerable.

Alhaji Yusif Sulemana also used the opportunity to talk on the Coronavirus which he said is real.

The Bole MP said even though Coronavirus has not been recorded in the Bole District and the Savannah Region but it does not mean the Coronavirus cannot get to the Bole District and the Savannah Region.

He called on the people to obey the protocols especially wearing if masks and hand washing. He said we should all observe the physical distance.

Alhaji Yusif Sulemana called on the Muslim Community to use the holy month of Ramadan to continue to pray against the Coronavirus.
