MP for Kpandai constituency mourns deceased polling station chairman

Hon. Matthew Nyindam, the Member of Parliament for Kpandai constituency with the NPP constituency and branch executives bitterly mourned the loss of one of the party's strong members who was a polling station chairman for Buya electoral area.

Osman Yussif (RIP) was was popularly known as Nanao met his untimely death on the 27th of November 2017 and quickly buried as Muslim custom demands.

His death was a big shock to the whole community as he woke up very healthy and strong on that faithful day. He conducted his traditional medicine business as usual.

After completing the day's task, he complained of severe body pains and was rushed to the Kpandai District hospital were he met his untimely death.

After burial, the funeral was scheduled to be performed on 10th of December 2017.

Hon. Matthew, who is also the Deputy Majority Chief Whip at Parliament, in a speech at the funeral grounds, indicated that Nanao has been one of the most faithful, helpful and lovely member of the NPP in Kpandai constituency.

He said,"if we want to mention the names of three people in the constituency that are very strong and supportive to the party, Osman Yussif (Nanao) can never be sidelined"

He added that the party owes Nanao a lot and that was why he asked that the party itself should perform his funeral in their own way before the family as it was done.

"we owe Nanao a lot as far as the NPP party is concerned. If I say we owe Nanao, it does not mean we borrowed money from him and didn't pay. It does not also mean that we bought something from him and didn't pay but anytime I remember our struggles with Nanao in opposition and now that we are in power that he left us without even benefiting from the party. This is the reason why I say we owe him"

The party executives led by the Hon. MP donated GHC 1500.00 to the children of Nanao and also donated an undisclosed amount of money in two different envelopes to the two wives of Nanao.

The Honorable Member of Parliament concluded by giving thanks to all the attendees for making it to the funeral.

"I thank each and everyone for coming and may Almighty God bless you all.
I again pray that may God guide us to all die through the right path.
May all the departed souls rest in perfect peace".
