MP for Shai-Osudoku constituency donates to Constituents

As part of the effort to promote good sanitation practices and also ensure broad-based participation in decision making in the Shai-Osudoku constituency, the Member of Parliament (MP) for the Constituency, Linda Obenewaa Akweley Ocloo has distributed over Twenty tricycles, motorbikes to all electoral areas within the constituency.

According to her, this seeks to strengthen accountability and also enable local participation in the constituency which is a growing component of development in the country.

This she added "is in line with the rising interest in improving governance – increasingly seen as the touchstone of successful development."

"I encourage broad-based participation: strengthening the political involvement of constituents in decision-making processes and in mechanisms for legitimacy and control," she said

The Member of Parliament used the opportunity to outline projects and activities she has undertaken within the two (2) years as a member of parliament for the good people of Shai-Osudoku constituency.

Some information equipment were also donated to the electoral areas in the constituency to promote feasibility.

The Member of Parliament also commissioned a six-seater Water Closet (W/C) and three bath facility for the people of Dodowa Odumasi. while she also cut the sod for the construction of eight seater for the people of Apperkon electoral area within the Shai-Osudoku constituency.

Linda Obenewaa Akweley Ocloo, MP express appreciation to the good people of Shai-Osudoku for the mandate given her to represent them and admonished them to continue to maintain the peace within the constituency because she believed that the constituency is very unique which crucial to the advancement of the Greater Accra Region.

The Chiefs and the people also on their part expressed gratitude to the MP and encourage her to be focused in the face of obstacles.
