MP thanks Party Executives

Tepa (Ash), Aug. 25, GNA - The Member of Parliament (MP) for Ahafo-Ano North Constituency, Mr Kwame Owusu Frimpong has praised New Patriotic Party (NPP) Polling Station Chairmen in the constituency for contributing to the victory of the Party in Election 2004.

Addressing the Chairmen at Akwasiase, he thanked them for their commitment and support and urged them to unite and study the policies of the Government so that they could explain them to the electorate. He mentioned the number of development projects earmarked for the district, to include the construction of Anyinasuso - Abonsuaso; Dwaaho - Twabidi and Asuhyiae - Bosikese roads.

Mr Frimpong said Anyinasuso, Bonkron, Kyekyewere, Odikro Nkwanta and Kofi Nkrumakrom electrification project had been awarded to a contractor and would soon take off.

The Chairmen stressed the need for the MP, the District Chief Executive and all the Party Chairmen to team up with the chiefs and the people for the development of the area.

They resolved to petition the Regional Executives of the Party not to conduct any polling station Chairmen's elections as such elections were characterised by rancour, unnecessary tension and disunity among party members.

Seventy-seven out of the 96 polling station chairmen and some party executives attended the meeting.
