Mobile Telecommunications Network (MTN) has donated food items and cash to the Tamale Central Mosque as part of its annual initiative to join Muslims to celebrate Eid-ul-Fitr, which marks the end of Ramadan fasting.
The items donated included cartons of cooking oil, crates of assorted drinks, bags of rice, boxes of tin tomatoes and mackerel, and a ram.
Mr Collins Agyei, Territory Sales Controller, Northern Region, MTN, who presented the items to representatives of the Tamale Central Mosque in Tamale on Tuesday, used the opportunity to talk about MTN’s exciting products such as Turbo Net urging all to patronise the network and its products.
Some Muslims in the country ended their month-long Ramadan fasting today and the rest will end the fasting tomorrow paving way for Eid-ul-Fitr celebrations.
Sheik Ahmed Abdul Salam, Northern Regional Chief Imam, who received the items, prayed for the success of MTN thanking the company for its initiatives to always join Muslims to celebrate Eid-ul-Fitr.
