Mahama, Frimpong Boateng Suporters clash

FONDER AVERTS POLITICAL CLASH

...Dissuades Poster Pasters From Returning Vice-president's Fire

Tension is steadily mounting between the supporters of the Vice-President Alhaji Aliu Mahama and former CEO of Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital, Prof. Kwabena Frimpong Boateng.

THE SUN gathered that had it not being the timely intervention of Prof. Boateng's Campaign Manager, the smooth-talking ad persuasive Osei Kwabena Fonder, a nasty incident would have been recorded last Tuesday around Kawokude area, between the foot soldiers of the two NPP aspirants.

According to the paper's sources, the bone of contention started last Tuesday morning when Prof. Frimpong Boateng's supporters discovered to their utter shock that their posters they pasted along the OLESEGUN OBASANJO dual carriage Way had been removed, or defaced.

According to THE SUN's sources, the Vice-president's boys were in the habit of defacing posters of the learned Professor. The paper gathered that when Frimpong Boateng's foot-soldiers could not make any sense of what was happening, they relayed the message to the quick-thinking Fonder, who also called Dr. Amoako Tuffour in a fit of complain.

"Had it not been the intervention of Mr. Fonder we would have retaliated by also defacing all the posters they had pasted on that of the Professor", a dejected foot-soldier who gave his name as Nii told THE SUN as he pointed to some of the disfigured posters around Accra Girls Secondary School area. When contacted, Fonder confirmed the story and appealed to all the foot-soldiers and supporters of the aspirants to desist from acts that have the tendency to create rancor and bitterness among the aspirants.

"We are all one family and we need not do anything that would create enmity and division among us," Fonder advised.
