Mahama, NDC not investing in people's welfare - Sekou

Son of Ghana's first President, Dr. Sekou Nkrumah says he prays subsequent Presidents do not inherit the "visionless" mantle of the Mahama administration.

The once ardent NDC member believes it is the reason the President cannot entice serious minded people to work around him.

Dr. Sekou Nkrumah who spoke on Okay FM just a day after the President had interacted with the media at the Flagstaff House, was pessimistic about the future of the country under the current administration.

According to him, he had expected President Mahama to drift away from the “visionless” seeds the late former President Mills planted; but is saddened he is rather watering the “visionless” seeds to germinate.

“The late President Mills had no vision and President Mahama also has no vision. And as a leader, if you don’t have vision, how do you expect to even attract serious minded people around you. How do you even bring about a team that would help you to take you where you want to go? It is highly impossible with this government”.

“..With all the resources we have, I don’t see why the NDC can’t make quality education and affordable housing free...I don’t see any effort from government to make housing affordable. We have the lands, so what is stopping us from investing in the welfare of the people?” He asked.
