Karim Zito invites 34 players for a three-day screening exercise

The head coach of Ghana’s U19 national team, Coach Abdul Karim Zito, has invited 34 players for a three-day screening exercise in Accra.

The non-residential screening exercise will be held at the Madina Astro Turf from Tuesday, August 6 to Thursday, August 8.

According to a communique from the Ghana FA, the screening is aimed at evaluating emerging young players from across the length and breadth of the country.

“National U19 Coach Abdul Karim Zito has invited 34 prospective players for a three-day non-residential screening exercise set to take place in Accra at the Madina Astro Turf.

“The three-day non-residential screening, which will be held from Tuesday, August 6 to Thursday, August 8, 2024, is aimed at evaluating emerging young players from across the length and breadth of the country,” the GFA said.

It added, “The selected players, who have been scouted from the various regions, are to report to the Head Coach, Abdul Karim Zito, at the Madina Astro Turf pitch at 10 am prompt on Tuesday, August 6, 2024. They will undergo a series of drills, training matches, and technical assessments by Coach Zito and his technical team.”

At the end of the screening exercise, the selected players may be invited for further training and potential inclusion in the nucleus of the U19 national squad, which will be preparing for international assignments.
