Mahama calls for cooperation from the staff at the Castle

President John Dramani Mahama on Thursday appealed to staff of the Osu Castle, Accra, to continue to offer him and Vice President Paa Kwesi Bekoe Amissah-Arthur, the cooperation that they gave him (President) when he was Vice President.

He said as politicians, who would always be on the field, they needed to cooperate with civil servants to help them to implement programmes and projects towards the achievement of their objectives.

President Mahama made the appeal at a short meeting with workers of the Osu Castle, including chief administrators and public servants, on Thursday, to officially introduce Vice President Amissah-Arthur to them.

The President said political camping would start soon, and he advised the workers to remain objective in the discharge of their duties as civil and public servants without fear or favour.

Vice President Amissah-Arthur expressed his willingness to work with the workers and called for cooperation and unity towards the attainment of developmental goals.

He said: “I look forward to a cordial working relationship with all of you and I call for your support to enable me to achieve my objectives as the Vice President.”
