Mahama has insulted intelligence of Ghanaians - Karbo

Former National Youth Organizer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Anthony Abayifa Karbo, says President John Dramani Mahama has undermined the intelligence of Ghanaians.

According to him, his (President Mahama) recent remarks regarding the attitude of Ghanaians towards his government are unfortunate with particular reference to the corruptible practices under his administration.

He cited high levels of corruption and mismanagement of the economy as some failures of the government, and so, expressed displeasure with the President's remarks.

To him, the incumbent government does not deserve approbation from Ghanaians because they have failed to improve their plight.

“I think that it’s undermining of the intelligence of the good people of this country; the fact that the people of this country have not reacted in any other way, but in a peaceful and respectful manner in which they have conducted themselves. And I’m sure many Ghanaians are waiting for 2016 when they would show this government their exact feelings and how they feel about the decisions that are going on, and the mismanagement of our economy, the high levels of corruption, the ballooned deficit that we are even struggling with.

“Ghanaians must even rise up to demand their due from this country, especially, when we were promised a better Ghana," Anthony Karbo said an interview with Peacefmonline.com.
