Several youth of this country finish school without jobs under President John Dramani Mahama’s administration, running mate to the New Patriotic Party (NPP) flagbearer has said.

Dr Mahamudu Bawumia assured the youth that a future NPP government will create more job avenues for the youth, should Nana Akufo-Addo win the November polls. He has, therefore, asked Ghanaians to vote out the Mahana government.

Dr Bawumia was addressing the chiefs and people of Abutia Teti in the Volta Region.

He said: “Under a Nana Akufo-Addo government, we can do a lot to better the lot of our people in Ghana. Our youth don’t have jobs, they finished school and they are there, they are at home. They cannot find jobs, the economy is not growing, we need to change, we need to grow the economy, we need to solve our problems.”

Meanwhile the NPP leader has said the party wants businesses in the country to flourish.

“We want businesses to flourish. With all these high taxes being imposed on the private sector, it is not surprising that businesses are collapsing. We are coming to reduce all these high taxes and also abolish import duties so businesses can flourish. When businesses flourish, Ghana can then move forward. The time to change Ghana is now,” Mr Akufo-Addo stated at Teshie Tsui Bleoo, as part of his campaign tour of the Ledzokuku constituency on Wednesday June 1.
