The Ashanti Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party, Bernard Antwi Boasiako has admonished former president John Mahama to enroll his children who qualified for the Senior High School under government’s free SHS policy.
Speaking to Accra based NEAT FM, the Ashanti Regional Chairman, popularly called Wontumi expressing his joy for the commencement of the policy stated that it will be prudent for the former first family to take advantage of the NPP’s initiative.
“John Mahama must send all his family members to SHS to benefit. He thought President Nana Addo couldn’t do it, he has done it. Free education is here,” He stated.
President Akufo Addo yesterday, September 12 launched the much-anticipated government’s major educational policy at the West Africa Senior Secondary School (WASS) in Accra.
In his address, the president called for support from all Ghanaians to make the policy a success.
Touching on the source of funding for the policy the president disclosed that the program will be financed through the proceeds of the natural resources of the country including the oil fund.
