Fadi Dabbousi, the fierce critic of former president John Dramani Mahama has advised the latter to remain silent to save his image.
The journalist, and author who was arrested in 2016 for allegedly making disparaging remarks about Mr. Mahama, in an interview with Kwame Tutu on Rainbow Radio 87.5Fm asserted that, he [Mahama] should rescind his decision to contest the primaries for the presidential slot for 2020 election year.
According to him, the former president will be embarrassed if he makes the attempt to contest.
In his view, the party and its members will not endorse the candidature of Mr. Mahama.
He described former president Mahama as a good man but ignorant on issues bothering on governance.
He said, former president Mahama must stay silent to save his image adding, ‘’he will lose miserably at the party’s primaries.’’
Fadi Dabbousi opined that it will be unwise for the NDC to file Mr. Mahama as presidential candidate for 2020. He further debunked claims that the former president lost because the NPP promised 'Heaven on Earth' rather his inability to perform.
''They described Mr. Mahama as incompetent but I will not do same. However, he did not do anything to show otherwise.''
