Former President and 2024 Flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Dramani Mahama, has strongly criticized President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo for what he describes as a pattern of neglect and recklessness for the people of Volta Region.

Speaking to supporters in Dededo, within the Ho West Constituency of the Volta Region, Mahama expressed his dismay at recent remarks made by President Akufo-Addo.

He pointed to the President’s response to Togbui Fiti's plea for the completion of the abandoned E-block, his admission of neglecting Akumfi due to their voting choices, and his indifferent comments during his visit to Mepe after the Akosombo Dam spillage.

Mahama labelled these actions as unprecedentedly recklessness in the history of Ghana.

He emphasized that presidents are elected to serve all Ghanaians, regardless of political affiliation, and suggested that President Akufo-Addo's conduct is unbecoming of a leader.

He called on the people of the Volta Region to deliver a decisive victory for the NDC in the upcoming elections, urging them to vote massively on December 7, elections.

Mahama set a target for the party, asking for more than 95% of the votes from the region, which has long been a stronghold for the NDC
