President John Dramani Mahama has taken his “Accounting to the People” tour to the United Kingdom where he interacted with the Ghanaian community in London during his visit to the states for the Anti-Corruption Summit last week.

The purpose of the meeting was to make known some of the progresses Ghana has chalked and to elicit feedback.

The president during the interaction told Ghanaians in the diaspora in spite of the challenges that are confronting the economy, significant progress had been made and so they should reject the negative stories that some people tell about the country, adding that given the economic indicators, the future looked brighter.

The “Accounting to the People” tour which comes ahead of the November 7, 2016 general elections started in the country (Ghana) where President Mahama visited the various regions in the country and interacted with the chiefs, religious leaders, students, workers, and traders.

The president also used the opportunity to inspect ongoing developmental and community projects and inaugurated completed ones.
