Mahama’s government cannot be trusted

Ghanaians are discerning enough to ascertain the difference between good government and bad government. The current spate of propaganda and the endemic lies well-orchestrated by the Mahama Administration and for that matter the National democratic congress (NDC) will not wash awash. The era during which propaganda triumphed is completely gone. The time for reality has set in. That is why the frustration within the camp of the NDC has increased in intensity because they have no iota of solution to the enormous problems that are facing our country. The priority is misplaced, and the level of corruption has become primordial in the ruling government led by President John Dramani Mahama, who cares only about himself. The Mahama administration has no workable strategy towards making Ghana a better place for the current generation as well as the future generation.

A serious government is expected to have realistic short term plans, medium term plans as well as long-term plans for the country and foster in place fundamental elements that will enhance the implementation aspect of the evolved plans. Unfortunately, the Mahama administration has failed Ghanaians issues upon issues.

The current recklessness of the Mahama administration is re-echoed by the reluctance of the government to come clean on the second tier pension scheme policy of our hardworking class in Ghana. How could the current administration be so indifferent to ensuring the security of the investment that our working class has made for their future? That is a smack of irresponsibility and heartlessness. Why is the government playing politics with the future security of our working class in regards to their retirement entitlement under the second tier pension scheme established by the National Pension Act 2008, (Act 766). The Act 766 states that the second tier would be privately managed, and the contributors will receive higher lump sum benefits than the previous CAP30. The first group of beneficiaries would be retiring in January 2015. The situation needs to be handled with urgency because our men and women who are beneficiaries to the second tier deserve better. The Act additionally states that the body that will be in charge of its management would have to be licensed by the National Pensions Regulatory Authority (NPRA). Why is the government insistence on Pensions Alliance Trust (PAT) Limited as a sole trust to manage the second tier pension funds whiles the organized labor has competent trust that has been licensed by the NPRA? Why is the government not able to find common grounds with the organized labor?

Ghanaians can never trust the Mahama administration because it has lost its credibility a long time ago in respect to issues upon issues. The same sentiment has been expressed by majority of Ghanaians.

The Nana Akufo-Addo’s government will consist of a descent and a reliable team mostly called a first class government that will turn the fortunes of our country to a high level of economic prosperity that will positively impact the ordinary Ghanaian. The high level of corruption that has become the conspicuous emblem of the Mahama administration would be eradicated from the system because Nana Akufo-Addo is incorruptible.

Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo’s term of office will see a total transformation of the Ghanaian economy that will create unskilled jobs, semi-skilled jobs and skilled jobs in the short run as well as in the long run for the good people of Ghana. All the regions of our country would be linked to one another through modern roads. Mechanized agriculture and the total transformation of the agricultural produce into a finished product so as to add value to the products will be the order of the day. Our villages (suburbs) and towns would be equally linked to the rest of the world with broad-based technological advancement.

Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo had always envisioned a modern Ghana that will graduate from the agro-based economy to a more of an industrialized economy. The government of Nana Akufo-Ado will ensure proper road networks, free education up to the senior high school level and quality education at all levels. A stronger healthcare system, efficient social infrastructures and mechanized agricultural systems that will be a prelude to industrialization as witnessed in countries such as Malaysia. It takes a strong, a visionary and a pragmatic leader to achieve these higher heights for the good people of Ghana. The Nana Akufo-Addo’s presidency is ready for such an efficient take-off.

It is highly worthy to recognize that all the social interventional policies that were fostered in place in the era of the New Patriotic Party such as the national health insurance, free maternal care, the capitation grant, the school for feeding program etc. that have been incapacitated by the Mahama administration would all be re-augmented to the benefits of all Ghanaians.

Fellow Ghanaians, together will make this positive history happen under the able leadership of Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo as the next President of the republic of Ghana.

God bless the NPP!!

God bless Ghana!!
