Mahama should order prayer & fast for his gov’t – CPP Scribe

The Convention People’s Party (CPP) has ordered the presidency to embark on either 14 or 21-day prayer and fast ‘to be baptized with the Holy Spirit and Fire’.

Speaking to sit-in host of PEACE FM morning show ‘Kokrokoo’, Nana Yaw Kesse, General Secretary of the CPP, Ivor Greenstreet said President John Dramani Mahama and his appointees must embark on this prayer and fasting programme to be able to purify themselves for Ghanaians to see a change.

Ivor Greenstreet courted controversy last year when he accused the ruling government of not listening to the plight of Ghanaians during the party’s National Delegates Congress in Kumasi.

According to him, “Currently, nobody, I mean nobody, n-o-b-o-d-y, nobody is feeling your better Ghana… Continuous dumsor, dumsor (light outs), corruption from top to bottom, left, right, inside, out, and all the challenges you are facing, but it is suffocating the Ghanaian people. Ghanaians are not happy at all, this Bronya (Christmas) is dry, too, too dry. The most painful thing of all is that you don’t care…yoooo we are watching you. Ghana is watching, do what you want to do, we also know what we will do.”

Speaking to Nana Yaw Kesse on Monday morning, Ivor Greenstreet re-emphasized that the NDC-led government is not a listening administration and so after the fasting, “we will find out if there will be a change in their government”.

“The president should order for himself and all his appointees either 14 or 21 day prayer and fasting for them to be baptized by the Holy Spirit and Fire, so that they will change their ways and serve the people of this nation. Afterwards, we will see if there will be a change in their behavior,” he added.
