Mahama struggling for campaign message – Seth Panwum jabs

John Mahama John Mahama

Seth Panwum, a New Patriotic Party(NPP) parliamentary aspirant for the Walewale Constituency in the North East Region, has stated that former President John Mahama has no campaign message for the 2020 elections given that whatever could be his campaign has been done or is being done by the Akufo-Addo administration.

In an open letter to the former President, he detailed how he( Mahama) dissipated the country’s resources and failed to develop the country in ways commensurate with the resources at his disposal.”Mahama is the most blessed president ever in this country’s history. By the time he took over as president in 2012 we were just a year or so in an oil producer, cocoa prices were good, Ghana had really not much of a debt… but what did he do, he wasted the opportunity, ballooned our debt portfolio, froze employment for all public sector including critical areas like health and education.

The high unemployment situation in this country is as a result of his mis-leadership during his tenure. What is he going to introduce again that we are not doing? Is it; Free SHS, Employment of Teeming Youth,” he quizzed.

He also gave a litany of alleged corruption cases during Mahama’s presidency, which he thinks, make Mahama hypocritical when he talks about corruption.

“I am really struggling to find any euphemistic words that will depict my astonishment about deceptive John Mahama. I am indeed besotted. Wonders shall never end, our elders say. I cringe anytime I hear “Odi Seifor” John Mahama or the NDC talk about corruption in Ghana.

I shall grub into the regrettable events which took place during former President Mahama’s coarse administration. The former president has serious questions to answer over the puzzling corruption scandals such as SADA, GYEEDA, SUBA, NCA, SSNIT, the infamous Bus Branding, the Brazil World Cup, the STX housing deal, the Brazilian aircrafts, the Ford Expedition Vehicle, the Armajaro saga. Should I go on Mr. Mahama?”

He is of the firm opinion that former President John Mahama should not be seeking to be elected President again since he failed when he had the opportunity.

Lies and deceptions

Your ignorance and loose rhetoric on the digital addressing system, Free SHS etc. is not only a pity nor cheap propaganda for political capital but also evident you have a great deficit on prudent management of the public purse, governance issues and

How can you launch a Google GPS system that is freely available on our mobile phone and say it is a national addressing system. It is such a pity.

The incompetent one is just uncaring that He is not satisfied with the harm he created but want to come and do more harm.

You think Ghanaians have short memories just as you described them under your tenure. At the risk of rehashing the reality, I refer you to the statement made by the founder of your party and also a stalwart of your Party (Sylvester Mensah).

“The presidency is not an avenue or a place where you go to make mistakes and return to ask for another chance to make amends. I think that, you must be ready and prepared to get to the seat of the presidency, and when you are there, there should be minimum errors but if you go there and commit errors and just come back to the public and say that, I made mistakes, I am now coming back to correct my wrongs, it simply means you were not prepared then and even now you are not prepared”.
