President John Dramani Mahama is currently trending on social media with the hashtag #AbanPapaAba, which means that a good government has come following the Black Stars' resounding victory over Chad in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier.
The president is also trending with a different hashtag, #BringBackTheLove, a slogan meant to rally support for the national team.
Many social media users are excited about the team's performance in their commanding 5-0 victory on March 21, 2025.
The president himself joined netizens in praising the Black Stars after their win, stating, "I had a good appetite for dinner after the Black Stars' 5-0 victory. Congrats, guys! Let this victory not make us complacent. This should be the beginning of bringing back the LOVE. Next focus: Madagascar.
