Mahama to visit Savannah Region on August 13

The National Democratic Congress (NDC) flagbearer and former President, John Dramani Mahama is expected to visit the Savannah Region on a two-day tour beginning Tuesday, 13 August 2019.

Mr Mahama is expected to visit the Debre and Mankpang in the Central Gonja District and from there move to the West Gonja District to visit the King and Overlord of Gonjaland Yagbonwura Tuntumba Boresa at the Jakpa Palace at Damongo.

After his visit to the Yagbonwura the former President will be at the Damongo lorry park to inaugurate all the Regional Committees of the NDC and then move to a site to cut sod for the construction of an ultra-modern regional office for the NDC in Damongo before proceeding to Larabanga to interact with the people there.

From Larabanga Mr Mahama will move into the Sawla-Tuna-Kalba district where he is expected to meet the people of Gbiniyiri and Gindabuou and then proceed to Sawla town.

On the second day of his visit, Wednesday 14 August 2019, Mr Mahama will start his tour in the southern part of the Bole district at Banda-Nkwanta, then move to Mandari and Bole town.

Mr Mahama will also visit the North Gonja district where he will meet with the people of Daboya and Lingbinshi and end the tour after interacting with the people of Busunu in the West Gonja district.
