Mahami Salifu mourns with CK Tedam family, signs book of condolence

Former Upper East Regional Minister, Mahami Salifu, on Thursday paid a visit to the family of the late C.K Tedam in Paga where he commiserated with the family and prayed for strength for the deceased’s family.

Accompanied by the two Chief Executives of the Kasena-Nankana Municipal and West District Assemblies and some constituency executives of the Ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), Mr. Salifu who recounted fond moments he had with late Tedam consoled the family, signed the book of condolence and eulogized the late statesman.

Speaking to the children and family heads, Mr. Salifu praised the late C.K Tedam for the unwavering support he gave to the New Patriotic Party while he was alive and urged the family and executives of the party to emulate his exemplary leadership.

He described his late friend as a father who loved everyone irrespective of their background, adding that his demise has left a vacuum in the hearts of many that will take forever to heal.

Mr. Salifu said “He was somebody who dedicated himself to the party. A very strong and prayerful Catholic and he loved everyone. The man I will call a father was never engaged in Politics of lies and was time conscious. We will forever remember him and pray for his good soul.”

Mr. Salifu, now member of the Council of Elders of the New Patriotic Party, later donated a bull to the family in support of preparations towards the funeral.



Mr. Clement Kubindiwo Tedam was a veteran politician who passed away in Accra on April 26, 2018. He was 94 years old.

Until his death, Mr. Tedam was the Chairman of the Council of Elders of the New Patriotic Party.

Meanwhile, the mortal remains of the late statesman has arrived at his home in Paga ahead of a state burial on Saturday, June 22, 2019.
