Anderlecht midfielder, Majeed Ashimeru has expressed his delight after making his Europa League debut in his side's win over Ferencvaros on Wednesday, September 25, 2024.

The Black Stars midfielder featured in the second half of the game that ended 2-1 at Lotto Park.

After starting the European campaign with a win, Ashimeru asserted that he is hoping for an exciting run in the Europa League.

"This is my first time playing in the Europa League. I'm looking forward to an amazing time during this Europa League. The most important thing is the win, but I feel good overall," he told Flashscore.

"Starting with a good way like this in the Europa League is a good step for the team and me coming in the last 25 minutes is always difficult but I'm just happy for the win."

Ashimeru played 21 minutes in the match after coming off the bench to replace Kasper Dolberg.
