The rehabilitation and upgrading of the Kasoa-Winneba road is making steady progress, with contractors indicating that major sections will be completed and opened to traffic before the end of this year.

This update came when the Minister of Roads and Highways, Francis Asenso-Boakye inspected the road works on Tuesday, as part of his visit to the Central Region to assess ongoing infrastructure projects.

Welcoming the contractors’ progress update, he noted that opening major stretches of the road to traffic before the Christmas period will drastically ease the plight of motorists who have had to endure severe congestion along that route.

The Kasoa-Winneba road project has been progressing steadily, with contractors expressing confidence in their ability to meet the year-end target for substantial completion of key sections.

Asenso-Boakye’s visit allowed for a firsthand assessment of the ongoing work and the conditions of critical road infrastructure in the region.

Persistent traffic congestion along the Kasoa-Winneba corridor has long been a source of frustration for commuters and businesses alike.
