Accra May 4, GNA- Institutions and individuals have been called upon to make access to information easy to enable the media to play their role in educating the public.
A goodwill message to mark World Press Freedom Day by Clement Wiredu, Executive Director of the Centre for Youth Development (CYDE) congratulated the media for their positive role in the fight against HIV/AIDS, drugs, and the defence of human rights.
"We are happy that through your efforts society is beginning to address these issues''. The statement congratulated the National Media Commission and the Ghana Journalists Association on their efforts at settling grievances and complaints against media practitioners. ''This has certainly improved media work", it said.
